Chairman’s Bulletin – July 17

Chairman’s Bulletin – July

Well out comes the sunshine and Wimbledon is well under way! Hopefully this will inspire people to come on up to the club – we have social play on Friday evenings and Sunday mornings where there will always be a committee member on hand to guarantee play.

8th /9th July is Open Gardens weekend so please come along and support the club and have a walk around the Village at the same time looking at some of the gardens on display. All money raised goes to local charities. Any help with refreshments is welcome and if you feel like weeding the courts, don’t be shy!

The Midsummer Tournament was well supported and great fun. Thanks to Ash for organising this and well done to the winners – Sass’s team! See the video footage on the website.

The teams continue to do well with Ladies D and Mixed A in top spots and Mixed D and Mens D in 2 nd places in their divisions.

The Great British Tennis Weekend is coming up on Saturday 22 nd July – come along and support the club and bring along anyone to have a go. There will be junior sessions in the morning and an adult cardio session at 1pm, with family time up until 2pm. Refreshments will be available and donations of assistance or cakes are very welcome.

Look out for details of our Christmas “Do” organised by Bob, at the Red House on 23 rd December.

In the meantime – “Come on Andy!!”
